Ingredients: 8-10 servings
2kg Divine Deli Beef tripe scraped and cleaned
2 onions chopped
8 tomatoes chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
Kapana spice to taste
2-3 tablespoons Omaghandi fat/ Divine Deli cooking fat
Optional ingredients for a curry option
6 carrots chopped
2 green pepper chopped
8 potatoes halved
4 garlic cloves chopped
4 Bay leaves
90 ml curry powder
50 ml turmeric
METHOD
1. In a Black pot on medium heat/ fire Cook the Divine Deli beef tripe for 1 ½ hours or until soft. Adding water as needed.
2. Add potatoes and cook for 10 minutes. (optional)
3. Add carrots and Green pepper and cook for 5 minutes. (optional)
4. Add onions, tomato, and spices
5. Cook for 5-10 minutes and serve with Mahangu / Oshifima porridge
